The Andrews Labor Government is keeping the legacy of our veterans alive with a round of new grants to support and bolster the community.
Marking Remembrance Day, Member for Bendigo West, Maree Edwards MP today announced 84 projects right across the state that will share in $1.4 million as part of a range of grants to support veterans.
The projects cover a range of initiatives, such as preserving memorials, commemorating veterans through services and events and providing education or training programs so veterans can remain engaged with the community.
Projects for Bendigo West include:
• $29,880 for Campbells Creek Avenue of Honour
• $1,972 to the Maldon RSL for preservation and presentation of memorabilia
• $8,000 to repair the roof of Bendigo’s Legacy House
- $6,000 The Legacy Club of Bendigo to provide heating assistance for Centrelink widows enrolled with Bendigo Legacy
