Families in Kangaroo Flat will be able to rely on great local sporting facilities, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.
Right now – despite record levels of participation at the club – Bendigo continues to miss out on the state’s biggest bowls tournaments.
But with funding of $330,000 towards an upgrade, the club will be able to kickstart Stage One of its redevelopment, including the construction of a synthetic bowling green.
With these upgrades from Labor, local clubs – and this local community – will have the great sporting facilities they deserve.
This commitment builds on the Andrews Labor Government’s investment in sport across Bendigo, including more than $170,000 for Castlemaine Goldfields Football Club, new uniforms and equipment for the Falcons Baseball Club and Marong Netball Club, and new lighting for the Golden City Soccer Club.
The Labor Government has made the biggest investment in grassroots sport in Victoria’s history, with $420 million dedicated to community sports.
“Kangaroo Flats Bowls Club has a very proud history – and with this new upgrade, it’ll have a very bright future too.”
“Our investment in this club is also an investment in the men and women who’ve worked so hard to build it.”
“From a game of social bowls to the next big tournament, this upgrade will mean Kangaroo Flat’s bowlers have the facilities they deserve.”
