Students at Bendigo Primary School will soon have an updated sports ground thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

Member for Bendigo West Maree Edwards today announced the upgrade as part of the Labor Government’s commitment to schools.

Bendigo Primary School will receive $110,000 for an oval upgrade, which will include new pathways and landscaping works.

By making sure students have access to the best sporting facilities we can increase the proportion of kids staying active.

By 2025, the Labor Government wants a 20 per cent increase in the proportion of kids doing physical activity five times a week.

Bendigo Primary School is one of thousands of schools with upgrades now underway across Victoria thanks to the Victorian Government’s unprecedented $3.8 billion investment in school infrastructure as part of the Education State.

This unprecedented investment has delivered 70 new school projects and more than 1,300 school upgrades, creating more than 5,000 construction jobs.
