“Funding for the new playground equipment here at Golden Square has been entirely raised by the Golden Square Kinder community,” Ms Edwards said.

“Today was a very exciting day for the kids here at Golden Square because they haven’t had any play equipment during first term and did not know they were going to have the new play equipment on their first day back for term two.”

“I want to congratulate the Golden Square teachers, parents and the Committee who have worked so hard to raise the funds and who are very passionate about this kinder and the benefit it brings to the children.”

President of the Kindergarten committee, Karl Baumann said he was very proud of the Kindergarten community and their fundraising efforts, and of the teaching staff who make golden Square Kinder such a wonderful environment for the students.

Kindergarten teacher Donna Stillman said the new playground equipment will offer opportunities to explore physical activity which incorporates safety awareness, special awareness, balance, perseverance and confidence.

“As the children challenge themselves and extend on their skills it fosters a sense of well-being which is one of the Early Years Learning Outcomes which underpin our practice,” Ms Stillman said.
